NFT’s, or Non-Fungible tokens, allow people to create a digital certificate that represents a unique asset. These tokens can be attached to a digital file like a photo, video, audio recording, or anything in the digital space. By doing so, NFT’s give digital art the same “original” and “limited” credentials that are attached to physical art. NFT’s are now treated as such and can be traced from the origin of an artist or seller, and lets anyone view the selling price as well as how many times an artwork has been sold to new buyers. The great thing about this is that the original artist actually gets a kickback of around 10% of the sale price. This means that an artist would want their artwork to keep selling for higher prices because they would get a royalty on that artwork, forever.

On Thursday, December 10th, Sportsnet (aka Rogers Sports & Media) hosted its first digital panel with guests from varying industries such as alcohol, advertising, Loblaws, NHL, Rogers Sports Media, EA Sports, and others to talk about the current trends developing in the sports industry in 2020 and beyond.

From humble beginnings as a troubled youth and infamous street fighter, doing backyard fights as “ponytail” along Kimbo Slice back in the day in Miami at the tender age of 19, Masvidal has since evolved into an elite MMA fighter. Masvidal has headlined in a number of major mixed martial arts organizations, including Bellator, Strikeforce, Sengoku, Bodog and now in the UFC. A product of the famous American Top Team ATT, he has worked diligently with his team to adapt and evolve throughout the years and become a complete mixed martial artist.
